Abstract
The major practice was carried out at Extension Office, Research Extension and Taining Complex (RET), Central Luzon State University, Science City of Muñoz, Nueava Ecija. The actual training was conducted from January 23 to March 29, 2019 with a total of 240 hours.
The major practice aimed to expose students to all actual and proper management practices in agricultural extension and capacitate senior students on the major competencies.
The major practice student was assigned in vegetable production in mango techno demo site. Different varieties of crops were planted such as hot pepper, onion leeks and eggplant. This crops were planted in order to maximize the usage of the area of technodemo site and likewise to showcase the technology.
The major practice activities and outputs were based in the major areas of competencies in agricultural extension. These were as follows; Capacity Building, Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials, documentation and monitoring and techno-demo demonstration. Also, administrative works were done. Through these major activities, the major practice student was able to enhance her knowledge and skills in the agricultural extension methods, techniques and strategies. It also improved her communication skills and confidence in executing extension activities. Likewise, it developed her competency indoing activities related to techno-demo. Lastly, it developed her positive attitude and values to work.
