Using mixed method explanatory approach and the simple random sampling through fishbowl draw as well as purposive sampling techniques, 46 fourth year tourism management students enrolled in A.Y. 2022-2023 in a public institution in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, completed the adapted survey questionnaire. On the other hand, individual interview was conducted to 11 selected participants from the 46 to collect qualitative data. using t-test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test proved that there is a significant difference in the student career perception during the COVID-19 pandemic and the new normal. the qualitative findings revealed that career development and enhanced practical training are two of the key elements that can affect students' intentions to work in the tourism sector.
