| dc.description.abstract | This major practice in Bahay Kubo was conducted from January 2019 to April 26, 2019 at the Department of Crop Science , college of Agriculture, Central Luzon State University, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. The objectives of the major practice were to perform the cultural practices as required in the production of solanaceous and tuber/bulb crops planted in Bahay Kubo Garden to improve and maintain the cleanliness of the Bahay Kubo Garden and to assess the profitability of the assigned vegetables using cost and return analysis. During the conduct of major practice, the student performed the different cultural management practices involved in each assigned vegetable crops including the land preparation, transplanting, fertilizer application, watering, pest and diseases management, weeding, harvesting, packaging and marketing. Moreover, the student was exposed to various farming activities related to vegetable production. Through hands-on activities, practical knowledge about the production of different kind of vegetables of the major practice student was greatly enhanced. The major practice student was able to generate income which was the main objective of this major practices. | |
