The data revealed that in the town of Maria Aurora, the performance of the Lupon members to serve justice for the residents-clienteles' was perceived as efficient. The results also showed that the mediation procedures through the barangay justice system were sufficient for the Lupon members to decline the number of case backlogs, maintain peace and order through easy access to justice ad build a stronger institution for human welfare and security. The study concludes that the barangay justice system is an essential tool and alternative to accessing justice as a way to promote peace at the grassroots level. It eventually addresses the problem being studied by reducing the number of court dockets. Therefore, the system must remain intact in the local government to increase awareness that utilizing this community mediation system will improve access to dispute resolution and strengthen barangay governance and justice.
