Abstract
This quantitative descriptive correlational study generally intended to know the relationship between Facebook use and Dark Triad Personality of three related 'dark and socially destructive' personality traits: Machiavellianism, Narcissism and Psychopathy. It hypothesized that students high in Dark Triad personality are also high in facebook use or vice versa. It also hypothesized that there is significant difference and relationship among socio-demographic characteristics, Facebook Use and Dark Triad Personality. In total, one thousand participants (age 17 to 25, 236were male and 764 were female), took part of the study distributed by researcher among college students of CLSU. Perason-r correlation, Spearman-rho correlation and independent sample t-test were used to examine the difference and relationship between age, sex, Dark Triad and Facebook use. Results yielded that there was no significant relationship between Dark Triad and Facebook use. Study found only limited evidence that the Facebook use is associated with the Dark Triad personality traits.
