Abstract
In the context of increasing agricultural demands and climate variability, efficient irrigation systems are essential for sustainable crop production. This study aims to design and develop an evapotranspiration-based irrigation scheduler for smart irrigation systems. By integrating sensors and advanced technologies, the system enhances water-use efficiency and optimizes irrigation practices. The project includes the development of a cloud-based monitoring platform, offline data logging capabilities, and the deployment of a mini weather station to estimate evapotranspiration rates. This integrated approach shows significant promise for improving agricultural productivity and sustainable water resource management. Performance analysis indicates considerable water savings and improved crop yields, demonstrating the practical viability and scalability of the system for large-scale agricultural applications.
