Abstract
The proposed project is the design and implementation of a structured cabling
system in Lupao Central School, Lupao, Nueva Ecija – Philippines. The school currently
faces challenges in accessing the internet due to limited range and coverage of their
current network. This project aims to address this issue by implementing a cabling
solution that organizes the network's infrastructure. The structured cabling system will run
across the school campus with different points and dedicated areas, enabling teachers to
have the necessary access to the Internet connection to accomplish their work and enhance
their way of teaching. The objectives of this study are to design floor plans and layouts,
implement structured cabling, set up and configure switches and wireless access points in
designated classrooms, determine where the network cables should be placed, and provide
network security. The scope of the project covers the configuration of proper network
devices, installation of wires, and setting up of wireless access points. The project will use
the existing Internet Service Provider of the school, which generates up to 50Mbps. The
implementation of a structured cabling system will provide an increase in productivity,
efficient network performance, and smooth workflow for the teachers of Lupao Central
School. The significance of this project is to provide easily accessible Internet connection
to the teachers, enhancing their way of teaching and ensuring that their workloads are
easier to accomplish.
