Abstract
A 35 days feeding trias was conducted to evaluate two phytogenic feed additives (PFAs) mainly; synergist belnd of citroflavonoid (SBC), limonene, lemon essential oil (LEO) pectic oligosaccharide (PO), aromatic compounds (AC) and medium chain glyceride (MCG) as additive in broiler diets. A total of 480 broiler chickens were randomly distributed tofour dietary treatments with 10 replications and 12 birds per replicate. Dietary treatments were: Negative control (no antibiotics and no Pfas), Positive control (with antibiotics) and two diets having PFAs. One way ANOVA was used to anlyze the data. Results indicated that feeding diets with PFAs had no significant effect on the average daily gain (ADG), average daily feed intake (ADFI), feed conversion ratio (FCR), income over feed cost (IOFC), livability, morbidity and carcass characteristics of broiler chickens.
