| dc.description.abstract | Field practice was undertaken at the Sanar Marketing in Purok 1, Sitio Umba, Barangay Bacay, Dumangas, Iloilo from April 21, 2014 to May 23, 2014. The report focused in the production of milkfish. The farm has an estimated total area 930,000 m2. This productive area is composed of seventeen (17) ponds which are consist of six (6) milkfish nursery ponds of about 90,000 m2, two (2) tilapia ponds, seven (7) production ponds about 450,000 m2 and two (2) milkfish transition ponds for milkfish. Activities participated in by the student consisted of production of marketable size milkfish where pond preparation, stocking, feeding and harvesting were done. Strengths and weaknesses of the farm were evaluated. Strength of the farm included strategic location of the farm and proximity to the market and source of water. Farm weaknesses include lack of good records, presence of pests and low salary of the laborers. | |
