Deviant practices among High School students of Core Gateway College Inc. (CGCI) and San Jose City National High School year of 2015-2016: A Comparative Study

Abstract
This study looked into the deviant practices among high school students of Core Gateway College inc. and San Jose City National High School for the School Year of 2015-2016. It is a comparative study using a mixed method consisting of quantitative and qualitative research techniques. Data were gathered by means of interview with the Guidance Counsellor/Facilitator of both school. It also utilized content analysis of the Guidance Office records. Students handbook/guidebook of both schools were also looked into. San Jose City National High School has more number of recorded offenses than Core Gateway College Inc. because they had a total of 1,266 numbers of violations while in Core Gateway College Inc. has a total of 300 numbers of offenses. In both schools, majority of the offenders were male high school students and in Grade 8 students of Core Gateway College Inc. commintted the most number of offenses while the Grade 7 students in San Jose City National High School have the most number of violations. When it comes to the least number of offenses, both of the schools got their least number of recorded offenses in the Grade 10 level.
