dc.description.abstractMilking records are essential in livestock management as they provide critical data on animal health, productivity, and overall farm profitability. This study developed an Enhanced Milking Record System designed to streamline data collection and analysis for improved farm operations. Integrated into an existing RFID-based infrastructure, the system uses RFID tags to identify individual goats and incorporates a web-based application for efficient data entry, record management, and interactive visualizations. Core features include yield summaries categorized by daily, monthly, and yearly outputs; AM/PM milking comparisons; unit conversions; and lactation tracking. The system’s enhancements address previous limitations by eliminating manual computation, expanding data visualization capabilities, and enabling real-time analysis. System testing and five client validation meetings with the Small Ruminant Center (SRC) confirmed that the solution aligned well with operational needs and workflows. As a result, the Enhanced Milking Record System significantly improved record-keeping accuracy, reduced human error, and transformed raw data into actionable insights. These improvements empower SRC staff to monitor production trends, detect anomalies, and make informed, data-driven decisions to enhance livestock productivity.
