This study was conducted to isolate, to characterize bacteria and to identify up to species level if possible from College of Home Science and Industry, Central Luzon State University water System. The resistance of bacteria in Eleusine indica and Echinochloa colona were also determined. Two waterborne bacteria were isolated and identified as Acinebacter haemolyticus and Kluyvera intermedia. these waterborne bacteria were morphologically and culturally characterized. The two plant samples were extracted in two different solvents (hexane and ethanol). The efficacy of these extracts was tested against those bacteria through a disc-diffusion method. Hexane and Ethyl extraction treatments of both plants proved to be not effective as eradicant against the two isolated bacterial pathogens. Due to present of these isolated waterborne bacteria from water taps, sinks, drinking these can increase the risk of developing certain infectious that are caused by bacterial pathogens. It is recommended to use water safely and follow proper sanitation through practicing good personal hygiene.
