Abstract
This study aimed to determine the knowledge, attitude and practices of residents of three select barangays namely Barangay Poblacion, Barangay Tabon, Barangay San Roque in San Isidro, Nueva Ecija. A total of 100 respondents were interviewed using simple random sampling. A survey questionnaire was used to facilitate the conduct of data gathering. Results showed that the age of the respondents ranges from 14-71 years old and the mean age was 31. Most of the respondents graduated from college and majority of them were female.
Interpersonal communication with Barangay Officials, televisions and posters were their sources of information about proper waste segregation. The respondents exposed to the information every day. Separate the biodegradable to non-biodegradable wastes. Respondents have a positive attitude towards the RA 9003 as it reminds them of the different environmental problems. They practice proper waste segregation and hopes to improve the situation of the community and the environment.
