Abstract
The field practice is an opportunity offered by CLSU College of Fisheries to develop talents and skills. The field practice was conducted in Freshwater Aquaculture Center, Wet laboratory from October 6, November 30, 2016 with a total of 215 hours, supervised by Mrs. Julieta D. Holasca. The production of healthy and good quality ornamental fish such as fighting fish is its main goal. The activities on fighting production are preparation of breeding aquaria with all the materials needed (umbrella tree leaves and improvised divider) and exact amount of water, selection of breeders, spawning, nursing and providing enough nutrition through feeding. Other activities were segregation of ornamental fishes, cleaning of tanks and making of micro worms. Strengths of the laboratory include the full utilization of the laboratory, enough supply of water and the knowledge and attitude of the staff. The weakness of the laboratory on the other hand are the leakage of tanks and lack of manpower.
