dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to analyze the novel of Salman Rushdie's Haroun and The Sea of Stories on how hybridity views Haroun's imagination in the sea of stories and how it affects children's literature. In determining the postcolonialism in the novel. The researcher was able to establish a study that brings awareness to those who want to write a children's book or tale. In conducting this research, the researcher used Postcolonial Theory to highlight hybridity in the novel. Generally the main objective of this study was to analyze Haroun's imagination in the sea of stories viewed as hybridity and its effect on children's literature. Specifically, this study aimed to answer the following: 1. Identify Haroun's imagination based on the story. 2. Determine the meaning of Haroun's imagination hybridity; 3. Discuss the effect of haroun's imagination as hybridity in children's literature. The researcher used Descriptive Qualitative analysis. The goal of qualitative descriptive studies is a comprehensive summarization, in everyday terms, of specific events experienced by individuals or groups of individuals. The focus of the study is on the hybridity of Salman Rushdie's Haroun and the Sea of Stories, and how postcolonialism affects children's literature. The researcher used a postcolonialism approach in analyzing and evaluating the story in order to highlight the hybridity. The study is designed in order to have a careful understanding of postcolonialism in Haroun and the Sea of stories and how it affects the children's literature.
