In horror and slasher films, the women has been the subject of the story and the male villain. However, the Final Girl or the last woman standing and the lone female survivor in the film broke the stereotypical images of the women which is weak, damsel in distress, and unable to fight back. The final girl showed her strength, bravery, and fearlessness along her journey throughout the film's struggle. This study sets out to investigate the factors that affect the role of the Final Girl. This study delimited its focus to the five slasher films such as (1) The Nightmare on the Elm Street, (2) Texas Chainsaw, (3) Friday the 13th, (4) You're Next, and (5) Don't Breathe. Results showed that the factors that affect the role of the Final Girl is the presence of the villain, the manifestation of friends and companions, the courage of the Final Girl, and the revelation in the selected slasher films. Considering this, the recurring images of the Final Girl also presented the Animus archetype which is the masculine aspect or characteristics of the female character and the Self archetype which is the fusion of all the personality including the optimism.
