Abstract
The study was conducted to investigate the vocabulary knowledge about suffixes of senior students of Bachelor of Secondary Education 4-3 English major in Central Luzon State University. It aimed to determine their vicabulary acquisition in suffixes and helped them to develop their vocabulary by means of examination about suffixes. Using the questionnaires, the data gathered were analyzed and the findings were computed using statistical tools such as mean score and p-value. The study revealed that the common problems of the participants in affixation using suffixes are noun and noun and mixed (noun, adverd and verd) becaused of a low scores they got in these categories. However, the effects of suffixes to the participants, they got more low scores after the intervention than the pre-test. It was found out also that the affixation specifically suffixes would still help the students to realize the essentials of using it in forming new words and develop them to understand the grammatical function of it.
