| dc.description.abstract | A total of 214 Itik Pinas (42 weeks of age) were used to determine the effect of supplementation of Madre De Agua on egg production and egg quality and economic benefits. In Study I, pelleted diet was fed in ducks with and without the supplementation of Madre de Agua while in Study II, mashed diet was fed in ducks with and without fresh Madre de Agua. Results revealed that the egg production of ducks fed pelleted diet without supplementation of Madre De Agua was numerically higher compared to ducks fed pelleted diet without supplementation of Madre De Agua supplement. For ducks fed mashed diet, egg production was numerically improved by 3.95% in ducks with Madre De Agua supplement compared to ducks without supplementation of Madre De Agua. Results also indicated a significant (p<0.05) increase in yolk color of eggs in ducks fed ,ashed diet with inclusion of Madre De Agua. The IOFC was reduced by 2.39% in ducks fed pelleted diet with Madre De Agua. For the ducks fed mashed diet both incurred negative IOFC but such was a lesser extent in the group with Madre De Agua. | |
